commonlogue terms of use

Last updated: October 19, 2026

commonlogue is an app for keeping a record of what you listen to, watch, read and see, and for printing that record as a book. It is operated by Rowtone LLC ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using commonlogue, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. Who can use commonlogue

commonlogue is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to agree to these terms where you live. Posts may include adult nudity (see section 2). One person, one account. You're responsible for what happens on your account and for keeping access to your email address secure, since that's how you sign in.

2. No objectionable content, no abusive people

commonlogue has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not post, send or share anything that is:

Reporting and blocking. Hold any post, comment or message, or tap · · ·, to report it or to block the person behind it. A blocked person can't see your posts or contact you. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these terms, and remove the accounts of people who post it. We can remove content or suspend or close accounts at any time, without warning, if we believe they break these terms.

3. Your content

You own what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and print it, only so that we can run commonlogue. That means showing it to the people you share it with, and printing and shipping the books you order. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for books already printed and copies we must keep by law (see the privacy policy).

What you mark shared can be seen by anyone signed in to commonlogue. What you mark private is only for you. Messages go to the people in the conversation.

4. Printed books

You can order a printed issue once it reaches the print minimum. Prices, tax and shipping are shown before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe, and we never see your card details. Printing is currently available for US shipping addresses only.

Refunds. Each book is printed to order, so we can't take returns or refund a book because you changed your mind. If your book arrives damaged or misprinted, or doesn't arrive, email us within 30 days of delivery (or of the expected delivery date) with your order details and a photo of the problem, and we'll reprint it or refund you in full. Once an order is sent to print, it can't be cancelled or refunded, except as described here.

Once your book is being printed, your account can't be deleted until it has shipped.

5. Links and other services

Entries can link to other services (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, film and book databases, and others). We aren't responsible for those services or their content, and their own terms apply when you use them.

6. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in settings → delete account. This deletes your account, entries and photos as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms.

7. Disclaimers

commonlogue is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that the app will always be available or free of errors, or that content will never be lost.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Rowtone LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim about commonlogue is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using commonlogue after that, you accept the new terms.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Pennsylvania, USA, apart from its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, unless the law where you live says otherwise.

11. Apple

If you got commonlogue from the App Store, these terms are between you and Rowtone LLC, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's Usage Rules.
